Tim 'n' Steph
Got Ya Back
Stephanie Maddren is a contemporary dancer and choreographer who hails from the NSW Mid North Coast. Her love of dance and creating movement started from age 3 and now, 30 years on, she has paved a lustrous path doing exactly what she’s always loved.
She is a graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and holds a BA in Dance. Upon graduation, she first made a name for herself as one of the final 30 dancers in Australia’s debut season of the hit TV show So You Think You Can Dance. From here, she was in demand as a dancer and choreographer across Australia. Stephanie has choreographed and performed in many iconic venues including the Sydney Opera House (Unleashed Awards opening solo), the Quarry Amphitheatre, Perth (Visible Dance Co’s season “Sphere”) and Qualia, Hamilton Island (Paspaley Pearls Collection Launch). In 2015 she was in Abu Dhabi to choreograph 28 episodes for the children’s TV program ‘The Fo Fo Figgily Show’. Her screen credits also include dancing in Baz Lurhmann’s film “The Great Gatsby.”
In 2017, Stephanie co-found Got Ya Back Productions Pty Ltd – with her husband, Tim Maddren. In that time, GYBP have already built and successfully produced three original theatrical productions, Me & My Shadow, Kamahl - Precious Words & Soothing Songs and BANJO. More recently she co-choreographed and performed BANJO’S 8-city tour where they played to 6 sold out shows. They have also produced 7 Junior Musicals for students of the NSW Mid North Coast.
